Why should nt delete the apps in Azure AD

Considering the below data point,
Only apps that have no user permissions or sign ins
No Azure owner
NOT caring about status of office.com/apps since these apps don't have the dynamic groups
Not worrying about application permissions

The biggest concern is that some of these apps may be services/APIs and default apps provided (since there is a number of them with Microsoft as the publisher.

I have found list of apps. If there any other reason that I should not delete these apps?

Please help to analysis

Hi @Yoga-8025 , are these apps that you created, or default apps like "Calendar" or "Forms?" As long as you don't call or reference them you won't be accessing them. What are your concerns about these, and why do you want to remove them? You mentioned you're concerned about services/APIs, but that shouldn't affect you if you don't call them. Please let me know if I misunderstood your question!

James

Thanks James.

My client requirement to clean up unwanted apps. Hence I am doing analysis and my recommendation against the apps.

How do I find the default app. and also help to how to view app expiry over the azure portal (not via PowerShell).
Also what is justification for services and API should nt be deleted.

Hi @Yoga-8025 , can you please attach a screenshot of the specific apps you wish to delete?

We can't dictate which apps you should/shouldn't have, it's all up to you. If you have a requirement to delete the unwanted apps you definitely can. However, you need to make sure that the apps you delete aren't in production or being used by any users.

Hi @Yoga-8025 , based on the applications you listed above, I cannot give advice on which ones to delete. Most of them look to be custom apps, which is something you'd need to decide. For anything built in like AD Hybrid Health, you can delete these, but I do recommend keeping them in case you need them. Please let me know if you have any questions.

If this answer helped you please mark it as "Verified" so other users can reference it.

Thank you,
