Hello.

I am considering using IoT Hub with Azure Stack Hub.

Although IoT Hub is available in preview in Azure Stack Hub, Defender for IoT is not yet supported.
We would like to use the Agent-based Defender for IoT, but is there any way to use it without Defender for IoT on the Azure Stack Hub side (cloud side)?

I think that it can be realized if there is an API that runs the Defender Agent (flows commands?).

Is there any way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

    Helllo @HinataGrape-6694 ,

The agent-based Azure Defender for IoT solution is a combination of an agent running on your (edge) device and the required configuration of the IoT Hub.

On the IoT Hub, you need to have activated Defender for IoT and you need to need to register a specific module identity inside an Azure IoT Device.

This even works for Azure IoT Edge devices.

If you are able to get the agent running and have a cloud IoT Hub, that device / VM is monitored by the combination of the agent and the IoT Hub in the cloud.
