Problem while deleting files In OneDrive

Hi,

My OneDrive storage was Full. So when I tried delete some unnecessary files, It failed with the below error:

Sorry, something went wrong

The server has encountered the following error(s):
customer_report_20211113.xlsx
This site has exceeded its maximum file storage limit. To free up space, delete files you don't need and empty the recycle bin.

Things I have tried from my side:

  • Tried Emptying the Recycle Bin, but still got the same error.

  • Tried Emptying the Second-Stage Recycle Bin as well.

Requesting a solution to this problem ASAP.

Hi @XenciaHasanNorthernArc-2106,

Have you tried the steps provided by the link below?

You can also contact your tenant's administrator to increase the space to your OneDrive.

@XenciaHasanNorthernArc-2106,

  1. Sign in to https://admin.microsoft.com as a global or SharePoint admin. (If you see a message that you don't have permission to access the page, you don't have Microsoft 365 admin permissions in your organization.)

  2. In the left pane, select Users > Active users.

  3. Select the user.

  4. Select the OneDrive tab.

  5. Under Storage used click Edit.

  6. Select the Maximum storage for this user option, and type the storage limit that you want to use.

  7. Click Save.
