We recently started using Azure autoamtion account for update management and this is working just fine.
but i got asked if we can deploy the exact same patch version (same update packages) deployed in 1 Subscription through to the rest of the subscriptions, this to ensure uniformity of course, i have been looking for this but i don't get an answered to what i'm looking specifically.

Based on my understanding, you are looking to patch all the machines to same level. Please note that "Azure Automation" depends on the update service/update channels depending on the OS. For example,, Windows OS is updated through "Windows Server Update Services" whereas the Linux based OS depends on their respective remote repository. Therefore, when Azure Automation update management assesses a particular machine for available updates, it will refer to these repository OR update service to check if any updates are available. It would not depend on - whether you are using single Automation Account to update all the machines or if you are using multiple Azure Automation accounts. Ok so it means it will be completly dependent on the WSUS and repositories for Linux configuration. that was my guess also but wanted to confirm.
