Trouble accessing my account on AAD

I'm having trouble accessing Azure Active Directory using my Outlook email account. The display message says 'The portal is having issues getting an authentication token. The experience rendered may be degraded.'
I've tried accessing the tenant to add my user but my view is restricted. I've also tried logging in and out of https://login.live.com but that didn't work either. I also tried logging in from a different browser. Is there some sort of incident at the moment? or is it just my account facing this issue. Any help would be appreciated as I have to access some apps registered with my account.
Thanks!

Thank you for your post!

  • When it comes to your error message, can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing?

  • Is this login issue occurring for all users, or just one?

  • When it mention - most of the tabs under Manage are still not available (light grey color), is this in the Azure Portal or within your browser?

Any additional screenshots or information regarding how to reproduce this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @JamesTran-MSFT
thanks for replying. Yes the issue persists. Here are some screenshots of what I see when I log into the Azure portal.

I am unable to update the users in the tenant.

Any help would be appreciated!

From your screenshots, the live.com user you're signed in with doesn't exist within the Azure AD tenant you're trying to access.

  • Do you have any other users that you can try logging in with?

  • Have you already invited your Outlook user to this tenant?

  • Can you make sure your Outlook.com user is in the right tenant?

Hi @Jay-9038

Thank you for asking this question on the Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Open an incognito Windows in your browser, login in your Azure Portal and repeat the process.

Sometimes, browser extension causes that kind of issue.

Hope this helps,
Carlos Solís Salazar

Hi @soysoliscarlos
thanks for your reply - I've tried that already also tried it just now just in case.. I get the same issue, most of the tabs under Manage are still not available (light grey color). It's as if the user logged in is not recognized.

From your screenshots, it seems that your Outlook user doesn't belong to any Azure AD tenant. Since you only had one user within this tenant, and no other users can re-add you, I'd recommend reaching out to our Support Team through an Azure Support Request, if you have this capability within the Azure Portal, or via the customer service number for your country/region.

For future reference, I'd also recommend creating and managing an emergency access account in Azure AD, this will help prevent being accidentally locked out of your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) organization because you can't sign in or activate another user's account as an administrator.
