Unable to connect IICS with Azure Synapse

Hi,

We are getting below error while connecting IICS with one of our Dedicated Sql pool in the Azure

Managed Service Identity has not been enabled on this server

Can anyone pls suggest how to configure Managed Service identity

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.
Just to summarize your ask - you are receiving above error, while trying to connect to Dedicated SQL pools in Azure Synapse. Please correct if I misunderstood the question.

Could you please confirm what is the authentication type used for establishing a connection to Synapse Dedicated pool?
Also please confirm if you have a staging enabled to a Azure Storage/Gen2?

If you have enabled staging, then I would recommend reading this article and see if that helps to resolve your issue?

  1. This is a similar issue but while trying to connect from ADF - ADF to Synapse Pool: Please enable Managed Service Identity and try again
