Attempted deployment of Domain Service failed and now stuck in deploying state

I attempted to deploy an Azure Domain Services instance against my domain following this guide yesterday. The deployment failed after about 2 hours with a time out. I tried to clean up the deployment by deleting it but that seems to have run off and I am left with the service in a state that it believes it is still attempting the deployment when looking at it from the Azure console.

This was a net new setup in a new Azure account setup just before the deployment, and with that, I created a new resource group and allowed the deployment to default all the network recommendations.

I am kind of stuck and not sure how to proceed.

Hi Derek,

Do you get any error when this happens, or is it just stuck? Are there any error logs you can share? If you send your subscription ID to me at AzCommunity@microsoft.com I can get a free support case opened for you.

Marilee, thanks for the response I sent you an email with the details you asked.

It did not seem to be much of an error outside of a failure due to a timeout.

Derek got back to say that the issue resolved itself, though it is unclear what changed.
