Our users mostly configure the display settings to meet their requirements (e.g. Single display - do not start in full screen etc.). These settings are lost everytime the client is updated to a new version.
Is there an option to keep the settings?

Hi
When you connect, from the Remote Desktop Client, you could save a personalized .RDP file to connect to the remote desktop, it will help to keep the settings for that connnection. (You can see the file content with notepad, if you need to validate the resolution)
Check there for reference; https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/remote/remote-desktop-services/clients/rdp-files, the display section.
Hi @yagmoth555 ,
I forgot to mention that we are connecting to Azure Virtual Desktop workspaces with the MSRDC client: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/user-documentation/connect-windows-7-10
There is no option for the users to export a .rdp file and edit it with Notepad. Please correct me if I'm wrong :)
I'm aware of the the RDP properties options for entire hostpools: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-desktop/customize-rdp-properties
But these are only the default settings. Users can change these settings on their client MSRDC app according to their needs. When the app gets updated, the users' customizations are gone. Is there a way to change that?
Thanks!
Are you doing an upgrade from the client or are you publishing the app through a different method?
Client retains the user customizations that are applied between upgrades.
