Wrong limit for Azure Workspaces

Hi,

When I tried to create Azure Synapse Workspace i get below error:

{"code":"DeploymentFailed","message":"At least one resource deployment operation failed. Please list deployment operations for details. Please see https://aka.ms/DeployOperations for usage details.","details":[{"code":"ReachedPerSubscriptionWorkspaceLimit","message":"Reached the maximum number of Synapse workspaces allowed for this subscription. Please contact Microsoft support to request an exception. Subscription: xxxx. Subscription offer type: PayAsYouGo_2014-09-01. Current maximum: 0."}]}

I see that the limit is 20 workspaces, but as in error I don't have any created now. I even created a ticket to increate the quota from 20 to 40, but still have the same error.
Is there something I am missing?

I'm having the same issue - quota of 20 workspaces, only 2 provisioned but getting this error when creating a Synapse Workspace: {"code":"DeploymentFailed","message":"At least one resource deployment operation failed. Please list deployment operations for details. Please see https://aka.ms/DeployOperations for usage details.","details":[{"code":"ReachedPerSubscriptionWorkspaceLimit","message":"Reached the maximum number of Synapse workspaces allowed for this subscription. Please contact Microsoft support to request an exception. Subscription: xxxx. Subscription offer type: PayAsYouGo_2014-09-01. Current maximum: 0."}]}
Found something that suggests unregistering the Microsoft.SQL resource provider and re-registering it but I have no idea what that will do to my existing SQL environment so I'm hesitant to do so.

Hello @MarcinGawel-1706, @RohanKulkarni-4873, @KrisBrady-5112,

This is a known issue with PayAsYouGo subscriptions.

We are currently working with the product team to resolve the issue asap. I will be update you once I hear back from the team.

You will need to create a request to increase the quota for your subscription as shown below:

Hope this will help. Please let us know if any further queries.

Followed these instructions. The quota limit was successfully increased and support ticket closed, but the issue remains.

"Reached the maximum number of Synapse workspaces allowed for this subscription. Please contact Microsoft support to request an exception. Subscription: <zzz>. Subscription offer type: PayAsYouGo_2014-09-01. Current maximum: 0."

Same issue here, have made a request to increase the subscription limit for Synapse workspaces. It would be helpful if this was in some way flagged on the Azure status page https://status.azure.com/en-us/status
