Organization Guest Access lost (after migration)

Hello Teams Community,

Please i need your help on this.

We migrated users from one tenant to another Tenant on Friday 1st of April 2022.

And before the migration, those users were already added as guest users in other organizations but after the migration was completed the users can no longer find themselves in the organizations in which they were added as guests.

Only the UPN and ID of the user changed but the email address didn't change.

Hi @66304432,

Noticed that you've added the "office-teams-windows-itpro" tag which is for general questions related to the Teams desktop client, so do you mean these users are having issue when login in Teams as guests users? By the way, since from the description, seems like your issue involves tenant to tenant migration, I'll add the "azure-active-directory" tag as well so that hopefully their community members can help look into this as well.

The user cannot see the organization he or she was added to after the Migration.

The user can only see the list of organizations on the phone but not on the Web or Client Team as show below:

Hi @66304432,

Please try informing one of the external organizations to remove the affected guest user from their Azure AD, then re-invite he/she and see if it can help. The external organization can refer to the steps below:

  1. Delete the guest user from Azure AD > All Users > Search for the guest user, delete.

  2. Go to Deleted User > Search for the deleted guest user > Delete permanently.

  3. Wait for some time, go to Users > New guest user, follow the instructions to re-invite the user and include the group(s) that you want the guest user to be added to.

The guest user would receive a invitation email, ask he/she to open it and join the team(s) using In-private browser.

Hi @66304432,

Just checking in to see how things are going on with this issue. Have you had a chance to try informing one external organization to re-invite the user and check the result?
