Turning on ADDS authentication for Storage Account (Azure File Sync)

Hello all, the previous sysadmin setup azure file sync for our onprem drives and the on prem server now acts as a cache. Using the storage key, I am able to map to the shares. However, authenticating via ad ds is not setup.

Question - Will turning on ADDS authentication for the storage account cause any down time or interruption of service for users mapped locally to the file share?

@GeneA-5609 Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A. I understand that you want to know if turning on ADDS authentication for storage account cause any downtime.

As per your description, I see that you will be using Storage Account Key for mounting. In this case, there should not be any downtime/interruption expected. Hope this helps.
