Excel Clipboard not getting all the charts/tables

Is there a reason that sometimes when using a third party add-in that only a portion of the mapped tables would be added to the clipboard in Excel? For instance, there should be 260 tables that drop into the temp folder. However, many times only about 100+/- will drop in. If I restart the computer, all 260 will be available in the temp folder and on the clipboard once, then it starts only grabbing some of them again.

I am using a third party add-on to integrate Word and Excel (Office 365 version that is up to date). I am using Windows 10 Pro and files are saved in our Office 365 site and used via Sync. The third-party add-in is N1 (Lightbox Report Writer). It maps tables in excel by name so they can be pasted into Word. Maybe it is a setting or Sync?

Thanks.

Hi @WesleySanders-0071,
I'm not very clear about the operation mechanism of this add-in. Regarding the Excel clipboard, it is usually about copying. Is it copied from the add-in, and then can't all the content be displayed in the Excel clipboard?
Is my understanding correct?
How did the charts and tables dispaly in Excel clipboard?
As far as I know the Office Clipboard can hold up to 24 items. If you copy a twenty-fifth item, the first item on the Office Clipboard is deleted.
And from an older Microsoft article about the Office 2003 clipboard limit:
"The Office Clipboard may stop adding items even if there are fewer than 24 if you copy large items to it. The Office Clipboard can contain up to 4 megabytes (MB) of data if system RAM is less than 64 MB, or 8 MB if system RAM is 64 MB or greater. To begin copying items again, delete some items or click Clear All on the Office Clipboard. If a single item is larger than 4 MB or 8 MB, you cannot copy the item to the Office Clipboard."

Hope the information is helpful.

Hi,

The add-in drops images from the clipboard into a %temp% file for retrieval by the Word add-in by image name. However, the clipboard seems to sometimes give up and not finish copying. Maybe due to the number of items overwriting as you stated above 24 items.

The %temp% folder puts them in there in .emf files.
