volsnap error & Backup failing

Hi All,

I've been having problem with this issue for a while now. I'm on a Hyper-v envirnoment and only one of my guest VM is having this issue.

These are the error I'm getting on the event log every time my backup job fails:

Event 16, VolSnap

The shadow copies of volume \\?...8e-11ec-94c8-6e01} were aborted because volume \\\?...8e-11ec-94c8-****6e01}, which contains shadow copy storage for this shadow copy, was force dismounted.

Even51, disk

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk9\DR29 during a paging operation.

Event 140, ntfs

The system failed to flush data to the transaction log. Corruption may occur in VolumeId: \\?\Volume{35e9e7d3-bc8e-11ec-94c8-****6e01}, DeviceName: \Device\HarddiskVolume48.
(A device which does not exist was specified.)


The issue seems to be related to this volume:

VolumeId: \\?\Volume{35e9e7d3-bc8e-11ec-94c8-****6e01


But I don't have any idea what this volume is and how to resolve this issue.

Any help would highly be appreciated. :)

Hi,

Please check if there are any disk errors on the volume. Start a command prompt as administrator and run chkdks /r on the drive you want to check.
If chkdsk cannot lock the drive, you can choose to run it the next time the system restarts.
