I use Microsoft Authenticator as my 2FA app. I have backed it up with my microsoft account and have restored several times before. Today I reset my Android phone and tried to add the authenticator and tried Restore from Back up. but the app says Unable to recover. Your backup is not stored with @hotmail.com. Try signing in to a different personal Microsoft account. Please help me. I am locked up with everything
Mobile reset , there were none once having had the authenticator restorable with the backed up , example for Android app call SmartSwitch , a Samsung offering backup and restore tool, it won't get Authenticator restored . Perhaps for the secure reason ...? What to do for it would be re-install the authenticator such Authy, Google.Authenticator etc. that can help the Authenticator back to the mobile again .
