Activation Management Tool version 2.0.67.0 installed on Windows Server 2016

When we provision the VMs from Azure image we select the below option. i want to come up with windows server 2022 image in Azure. will the Activation Management Tool version 2.0.67.0 on Windows 2016 server support Windows Server 2022 KMS licensing.

Hello @RogerRoger-2394,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A platform. Happy to answer your question.

The answer is Yes. Your KMS host can activate the license on any windows server OS and Client OS. There is no dependency on the windows OS running on the KMS host. In your case, the windows server 2022 image in Azure Marketplace has the appropriate KMS client setup key already configured.
