Azure portal authentication issue

Hi all,

I just logged in Azure portal with my new Azure Pass to prepare an AZ-104 course that I teach next week.
However, I can't access my tenant, I don't see my subscription, all I get is this message :

The portal is having issues getting an authentication token. The experience rendered may be degraded.

Additional information from the call to get a token:
Extension: Microsoft_AAD_IAM
Resource: self
Details: The logged in user is not authorized to fetch tokens for extension 'Microsoft_AAD_IAM' because the user account is not a member of tenant 'f8cdef31-a31e-4b4a-93e4-5f571e91255a'. Error details: AADSTS50020: User account '{EmailHidden}' from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application 'c44b4083-3bb0-49c1-b47d-974e53cbdf3c'(Azure Portal) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.
Trace ID: 2d7bd098-b88e-4b0c-86ff-a8e69be85b00
Correlation ID: 7eefa289-9ce9-4468-95fc-4c55ee1c1ccb

Can please anyone advise how to resolve this issue ?

Thank you very much for your help,

Bohuslav

Hi @BohuslavKOUNOVSKY-8935

Thank you for asking this question on the Microsoft Q&A Platform.

Open an incognito Windows in your browser, login into your Azure Portal, and repeat the process.

Sometimes, browser extension causes that kind of issue.

Hope this helps,
Carlos Solís Salazar

Thank you for following up on this and I apologize for the delayed response!

Error Message:
The logged in user is not authorized to fetch tokens for extension 'Microsoft_AAD_IAM' because the user account is not a member of tenant 'e91255a'. Error details: AADSTS50020: User account '{EmailHidden}' from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'Microsoft Services' and cannot access the application '974e53cbdf3c' (Azure Portal) in that tenant.

From your error message, can you make sure the user you're signing into has access to the e91255a tenant, or is a member of the tenant that you're trying to access? You can also try signing in with another user or reaching out to an Admin within your tenant to ensure that your "live.com" user does exist within the tenant.

If you're still having issues, can you share some more information so I can gain a better understanding of your issue?

  • Have you signed into this tenant before with this user?

  • Is this an Azure tenant that you created? Or is this part of the MS Learn?

  • Do you have any other users within this tenant, that can invite your "live.com" user?

Any additional information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time and patience throughout this issue.

Hi James,

thanks for your answer.

Have you signed into this tenant before with this user? Yes. I was able to login with this user several times. I can not enter my MFA in last 5 weeks.

Is this an Azure tenant that you created? Or is this part of the MS Learn? it is a tenant that I created.

Do you have any other users within this tenant, that can invite your "live.com" user? No. I am the only admin. I have contacted support, but I do not have any solution.
