@AZhou-3265
Where did your Windows Server 2016 Server get updates from? Have you tried to download the KB5012596 from Microsoft Update Catalog and install the update manually?

Here is explanation of the error code:
0x80248007 -2145091577 WU_E_DS_NODATA The information requested is not in the data store.

It seems that the Server failed to install the update due to the corrupted update files. Please try to follow the link to reset Windows Update components and then try to download the update from Microsoft Update Catalog. Last we could try to install it again.

Hope the above will be helpful. Please keep us in touch if there are any updates or questions of the case.

Have a great day.

Best regards,
Rita

Hello @AZhou-3265
In order to help me research further, please try to share the windowsupdate.log. We could run the get-windowsupdatelog to get the log file.

Note that the log file will be placed into the desktop by default.

Best regards,
Rita

It seems that the device are pointed to the WSUS Server by ip address not FQDN. It is not recommended to point the devices to the WSUS Server by ip address.

Is there any updates of the case? Please try to follow my suggestions to change the IP address to FQDN if the issue haven't been resolved right now.

Thanks for your time and have a great day.
