Attempting to connect to the avd virtual machine with the windows desktop client fails to log in with the following error: "A certification authority could not be contacted for authentication. If you are using a Remote Desktop Gateway with a smart card, try connecting to the remote computer using a password. For assistance, contact your administrator or technical support"
Restarting the virtual machine resolved the problem, but for what reason did the following error occur?
Can you share more details about your environment to assist you better.
Is it AAD joined or AD joined?
What errors are logged in AVD Insights (if enabled)?
Is the VM able to reach out to our AVD endpoints or do you use any Firewalls/Proxies on their VNET?
Can you review the Event logs of the VM as the error occurs to see if there are any errors/warnings that the VM cannot reach authentication endpoints?
Any update on the issue?
