Why does Adobe Image Ready start up when my computer wakes up from sleep mode?

It doesn't happen all the time, (probably 25%) but after waking the computer I go to open another program, and before that opens, Image Ready pops open. It's an old version that came with Photoshop 7. I have searched for some clue, but seems like every other question is about a program waking the computer, as opposed to the waking computer opening a program. As of today 4/19/22, my Win 10 is current with updates. PS/ImageReady can not be updated any more. They work fine otherwise. Any advice to stop this behavior?

    Hi @Mark Richerzhagen

Thank you for contacting the TechNet community.

This sounds like the inconsistent behaviour of an old application under Windows 10. When the PC wakes, it must be triggering the app running in the background. This is a very old app now and all
If it’s functionality was rolled into Photoshop from Creative Suite 3 onwards.

I don’t believe there is any way to prevent this behaviour without uninstalling Image Ready.
