Windows 7 License Activation Issue

My Dell laptop hard drive crashed and it was running windows 7. I Don't remember what "flavor" it was but I loaded Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I tried my Product Key (On The Laptop, under the Battery) and Windows Verification says it won't activate using this Version of Windows 7 Ultimate...So, I don't know what to do...I have a Valid License Key, but it's tied to some version of Windows 7. There is no Product ID on the sticker, so I can't figure out what version of Windows to load...Can anyone Help?

Use the system service tag to check the Dell site for what OS came with the hardware.
