FCI: Classification tab on windows 10 client does not refresh

Hi there,

We implemented a FCI environment a customer site and he is really happy with the solution and wants to start using it in the whole company.

After we created some default resource properties for the client he wanted to change some names and stuff.

Now he is facing the problem, that his windows 10 clients have in the classification tab the old values of the classifications.

Reboot, gpupdate, FSRM Update ... nothing worked so far.

On the file server we see the correct version of the resource properties but not on the client.

If we use a fresh installed client we have the correct resource properties.

Is there some kind of cache or something which makes the client not check for the new resource properties which are promoted by the Administrative center and FSRM?

Yesterday and today we tried the following:
-Create a Ressource Property List with just a one ressource propety (category instead of category, department and confidentiality)
-After about 1h we saw on the client that he just had category in the classification tab
-But still it was not updated.

Really strange. Where could the error be that all the clients at the customer site dont apply the correct classification?

We tried as well with some fast boot options and CSEs but we didnt find anything.

Hi there,

It seems that your FCI is not propagating to fetch new updates or classifications and hence the clients are struck with old values of the classifications. You can try to Verify that the files are classified and then try creating the classification rules.

Thanks for answering. I am not sure what you mean with "You can try to Verify that the files are classified and then try creating the classification rules."

We are able to classify the files, the classification works with the rules and permissions we applied. But the client does not refresh the values on the client. On the file server and other servers we added it works.

It seems to be a client issue but until now we didnt found any solution.

I go through your guides and will kep updating this issue.
