Inking is too thick in Word 2016

I have a problem with inking in Word and PowerPoint 2016 when using a desktop connected to a touchscreen. Drawing with the mouse displays the ink with the correct thickness, but when drawing on the touchscreen it expands and makes the function unusable.

This is happening on Windows 10 20H2 and an earlier version of Windows 10. I have installed the latest drivers for the PC (Stone) and Windows Updates are up to date. I've tried repairing the Office 2016 install as well as reinstalling. The touchscreen displays pen lines properly in other non-microsoft apps so the board isn't an issue. I've also installed the latest drivers for the board too, with no difference.

I'm struggling to find anything on the net about this issue so I'm hoping someone on here can help.

Hi, @JoThomas-0182
Welcome to the Q&A Forum. To help you better, can you provide a screenshot of the thickness of the inker pen on the touchscreen?

In general, the thickness can be adjusted in the Thickness of Draw.

Hi,

I'm using the thinnest setting for thickness.

As you can see from the pics... As I draw the line it shows as the correct thickness but as soon as I remove my finger (or pen) it expands to the line shown.
