outlook new profile failed

Hello

I had read many documents but still not settle. Hope can have your help.
I build exchange 2013 in lab. after many basic environment setup, I can auto setup outlook in same network but fail on NAT outside network, which is pretend as access from internet.
I only publish 443 and 25 ports for outside access. I can access ecp from outside and confirm external URL for virutal directory setup properly.
When I setup new outlook profile, It pass "build network connection", "searching mailbox settings" but fail at "login to mailbox server". Error is "can not complete this action, Connection to Microsoft exchange not available". outlook must online to complete this action."

Known that have 2 test tools.Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer (ExRCA) and Test-OutlookConnectivity. My lab is not online, So I can not use ExRCA to test.
I try to install exchange management tools, it said need to Enterprise Admins to update AD. I think if this is client side only tool, should not update AD.
So I had not install it.

Would you please advise how I can move forward?

Hi @ScottGao-0030 ,

In the same network Outlook can connect successfully , but it doesn't work in NAT network , so I suppose the cause may be that there is something wrong with autodiscover .
You may use the Test-Email AutoConfiguration feature of Outlook to check autodiscover process .

Many thanks for your reply. I would like have more test before reply. that's why not update long time.
My friend help to change some settings on OWA authentication mode, outlook anywhere authentication mode and SSL offlload. Problem suddenly gone.
I remember he change OWA logon format from domain\name to UPN.
I try to change back to repeat problem, but can not repeat..

Yesterday, I build a completely new lab. I had did nothing on above settings. I can auto setup outlook inside or outside very smooth.
I think change logon format to UPN would be reason. because of fail at "login in to server"
But in my new lab, I can use UPN or domain\username without change any settings.

Microsoft document have less for work logic, I think that's the reason I stuck here.
Like internal URL and external URL for virtual directory. There is no document metion how outlook decide use internal or external URL.
