Excel12v xlfregister fails with xloper12 str > 255 character

Hi there,

I am using excel12v with xloper12s to register some user defined functions. When my fourth field is above 255 characters the function fails to register, even though the xloper12.val.str is successful. Was the feature of longer strings not actually implemented in the Excel12 version? Even the Dalton book on fin apps using excel add-in dev states this feature should be available.
