Apply the latest missing Windows Server 2012 Windows Updates

Hi,

I have a Windows Server 2012 server which was never update frequently but now I want all of the security and windows updates to be install but I want to avoid traditional way of updates via default Windows Updates which installed number of updates and also time consuming activity.

Is there a way to find and install specific rollup, cumulative updates or ssu which fixed all the previous missing patches.

Regards,
fruitz

Hi,

Here is an update...

KB5011571 was successfully applied and after server restarted I applied KB5012650 after successfully installed server restarted but during OS boot a message appeared "Failure Configuring Updates Reverting Changes" and it failed to apply the updates.

Any idea if any prior update was missing before applying the second update you suggested?

I'd check the \windowsupdate.log file for clues

Hi there,

Servicing stack updates are released depending on new issues or vulnerabilities. On rare occasions, a servicing stack update may need to be released on demand to address an issue impacting systems installing the monthly security update.

The latest SSU for your device can be found in https://msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide/en-us/vulnerability/ADV990001
