Not able to see Microsoft Edge option under Group Policy Editor After installing Edge on Windows server 2016 Hence not able to enable IE Mode

Edge IE Mode support on Windows server 2016:

Windows server 2016 is mentioned as supported OS on below link for IE mode of Edge:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/edge-ie-mode

However, Not able to see Microsoft Edge option under Group Policy Editor After installing Edge on Windows server 2016.
To configure IE mode integration with Edge and run IE supported website on Edge we need to enable the IE mode integration.

Currently we are not able to see Microsoft edge option in group policy Editor and hence not able to configure IE mode.

We have created the Enterprise mode site list and trying to redirect the IE websites to Edge and it is getting redirected but the website is not opening in IEmode.

Please let me know the necessary details to resolve the problem. Thanks in Advance!

Hi @BabarJyotiR-9825 ,

However, Not able to see Microsoft Edge option under Group Policy Editor After installing Edge on Windows server 2016.

In this case, you need to download and install Microsoft Edge policy template, just from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download , please refer to this image, select the version of Microsoft Edge you need and download it.

And then install this template, copy the required files to the corresponding file path to complete the installation, you can read this document, which contains specific step descriptions: Download and install the Microsoft Edge administrative template.

We have created the Enterprise mode site list and trying to redirect the IE websites to Edge and it is getting redirected but the website is not opening in IEmode.

In addition, if you need to configure Edge IE mode site list via group policy, please refer to this doc: Configure IE mode policies, the main configuration is the first two steps. For the format of the configuration file sites.xml mentioned in the second step, please refer to this document: Enterprise Mode schema v.2 guidance.

Finally, after completing the configuration, you can navigate to edge://compat in Edge, and you can click Force update to see if it takes effect. By default, Group Policy configuration will take effect after one minute.

Hi @XuDongPeng-MSFT

With your suggested steps , we are able to see the Microsoft Edge option in group policy.
However after doing all setup while loading the Intranet site in Edge, we are getting "Internet Explorer mode is disabled" message.
We have enabled the Internet explorer Integration policy still getting this message even after doing force update of policy changes.

Please suggest are we missing on anything else.

Thanks in advance!
