recommend a FIle/folder analysis software for windows file servers

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all doing well.

I would like to ask if you have used any file/folder analysis programs. Our two file servers have over 15 TB data on it. I would like to do some clean up as some old files been piling here in there. Some could be multi media files, some could be duplicate. By cleaning up, we can save the cost on online backup and local storage...etc. Hope you can recommend one for me.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hello @TakamiChiro-9744

Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Platform.

I would suggest the following tools:

You may want to reduce the size of the WinSxS folder:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/clean-up-the-winsxs-folder?view=windows-11

I hope this helps!
