Config manager ADK deployment package does not appear to remove expired updates

I have an ADK for defender endpoint definitions with a filter for supersedence set to "no". It has 10 items in it, however the deployment package has over 4000 items and it is 10GB in size.

No other deployment packages for the other ADKs exhibit this behavior, is there a way to remove the unused items in this deployment package?
