Been researching more and came to the conclusion that Microsoft uses 2 letter ARPABET? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARPABET
What is Microsoft phonetics language?
Hello,
Been playing with the pronunciation assessment API, which is amazing for English and Chinese.
However, it answers phonemes in a weird language instead of the International Phonetic Alphabet. For example the word "word" will be written as "werrd", or the word "I" will be written as "ay".
What is this way to write down pronunciation? Is it a known documented language? Is there a way to map to IPA? Is it microsoft made?
Looking for info if anyone knows anything on it! Thanks!

Phonetic alphabets are used with the Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML) to improve the pronunciation of text-to-speech voices. Speech service supports the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA). Read more on SSML phonetic alphabets. Hope this helps.
