Microsoft Office Excel to manage application data

I am trying to move all our processes from Google sheet to Microsoft Office Excel and i was wondering if Microsoft office excel can be used just like Google sheet?

Ideally, It should be easy to create/edit/update the sheet and can connect to APIS. Any advise will be appreciated.

    Are you trying to search for specific values based on specific criteria?
    You can try to use filter function or VLOOKUP function.
    Select the column to be filtered, click the Data tab, and click Filter.
