Setting up Alert notification with External Notification using MECM.

Is there a way to setting up Alert notification with External Notification using MECM? I created an alert that will trigger based on a baseline configuration and I want to send a external notification whenever the baseline fails.

When setting up the external notification, I only see an option to use status filter rules or when a user submits a application request. It is quite obvious that the 2nd option will not work but I am not sure whether I am able to set it up using the status filter rules. So I was wondering how to set up alert notification using external notifications?

Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft MECM Q&A forum.

May we know what version of MECM you are using? Starting in MECM version 2107, you can enable the site to send notifications to an external system or application. This capability simplifies the process by using a web service-based method. You configure subscriptions to send these notifications. These notifications are in response to specific, defined events as they occur. For example, status message filter rules.

Currently, this feature only supports Azure Logic Apps as the external system. An active Azure subscription with rights to create a logic app is required.

For more information, please refer to:

Hope it helps. Thanks for your time.

Thank you.

I am currently using MECM 2203. I know how to set up a external notification, but I am not able to find the appropriate status filter rule to to retrieve the baselines that have non-compliant devices. I saw the link you provided but none of them involve notifying when a baseline has detected a non-compliant device.

What I wanted to implement was when a baseline detects a non-compliant device (invalid OS version), I want to send a email using the external notification. So I am not sure which status filter rule to use to achieve this intended effect.
