HV Switch goes from 2 gigs to 1 gig after reboot

I'm running Server 2016 and have noticed that the HV Switch goes form 2 gigs to 1 gig after a reboot. It can be reset to 2 gigs by going to the configure properties page of the HV Switch.
There are 2 onboard NICS running at a gig each.

Hi there,

My first suggestion would be to look into the Event viewer to see if you can get any insights into what is causing this switch. Looking at the Hyper-V Event Log https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/community/team-blog/2018/20180123-looking-at-the-hyper-v-event-log-january-2018-edition

Process Monitor is an advanced monitoring tool for Windows that shows real-time file system, Registry and process/thread activity. You can get the tool from here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/procmon

I would also suggest you try removing the virtual NIC completely and re-configure it and see if that can help you.Create a virtual network https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/quick-start/connect-to-network
