We are currently using Sage 200 on a Azure Server.
We have 5 persons that connect to the server.
Currently we need Excel so we can run reports, I do not need anything else from the office suite.
I am told I have to install Microsoft Office Apps for Enterprise - £154.56 per year (annual subscription)
All I need is Excel and I believe you can get Excel for £159 one off cost (maybe per user) which will work out much cheaper in the long term.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

I'm not familiar with the Azure Server you mentioned in thread, I will give some information personally.
If you mean multiple users access an instance of Office that is hosted through Remote Desktop Services (RDS), you need shared computer activation for Microsoft 365 Apps.
Under this case, you need to have one of the following plans:
An Office 365 (or Microsoft 365) plan that includes Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise, purchased through a Volume Licensing Program.
A Microsoft 365 Business Premium plan that includes Microsoft 365 Apps for business.

Besides, as your issue is more related to purchase and license requirement, which are not supported on Q&A forum currently.
