Validation - SharePoint

Hello!

Is it possible to use validation definitions to validate different columns?

I already have this:
=[Efficiency Assessment Deadline]>=[Implementation Date]=OR(ISBLANK([Verification Date]),[Verification Date]>=[End Date])

Now I need to add to this formula, another one.

If the field [Effective action] has the value "Yes", than the field [Support Tools] must have a value and cannot be blank.

Thank you!

Hi @PaulaSousa-5991
what is the column type of Effective Action]?
If it is the type of “Yes/No”,
the formula is: =IF([Effective Action]=TRUE,IF(ISBLANK([Support Tools]),FALSE,TRUE),TRUE)
If it is the type of “Choice”,
the formula is: =IF([Effective Action]=”Yes”,IF(ISBLANK([Support Tools]),FALSE,TRUE),TRUE)
Then, you can use "=" to concatenate these 2 formulas,Like this:
199201-1.png

Or, you can use AND function to concatenate multiple conditions.
Like this:
199120-2.png

The result is:
199173-3.png

NOTE: in list validation settings you can only have one message.

Thanks,
Yanli Jiang

Hello @YanliJiangMSFT-7045,

Thank you very much for your answer.

The column type of [Effective Action] is "Yes/No".

I have already inserted the validation rule and it worked.

Thank you once again.
