Does Windows Server 2022 DHCPv6 and IPAM services support RFC 6939 (Client Link-Layer Address Option in DHCPv6)?

Hi @MarianHercek-3024

Yes, it is supported. One of the main DHCPv6 enhancements is full support of RFC 6939 (Client Link-Layer Address Option in DHCPv6) by network devices (acting as relays) and DHCPv6 servers.

RFC 6939 support would allow a number of things that large organizations use in their DHCPv4-based networks. RFC 6939 offers a way to preserve the lease reservation method used in DHCPv4. It would also allow a simpler correlation of a host with both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses for management purposes.

Hope this resolves your Query !!

So, is there a column named MAC Address under DHCP -> IPv6 -> Scope -> Address Leases in MMC?
