Microsoft Authenticator Unable to recover backup

Hi,

I have lost my phone(Android) where I had set-up Microsoft Authenticator, I remember well that I've enabled backup. Now I would like to restore that backup to my new phone(Android).

I've installed Authenticator app on my new phone and trying use the option "begin recovery" to restore the backup from my old device. Once I click "Begin Recovery" option it prompts me to login and I've entered my creds , after that it loads for sometime and finally give the below error:

Unable to recover

Something went wrong. Please send us logs using the send logs options.

Could someone please advise here on how to address this issue. I'm facing a lot of trouble as for almost all the I use have enabled with this authenticator. Now that I don't have access to Authenticator I'm unable to login to any of my accounts.

PS: I'm entering the correct account details while logging in the Authenticator and I've enabled backup in my previous phone

Having the same problem. What a pain in the rear, wish we would just use google authenticator.

Having the same problem, had to send my phone in for repair and ensured the Microsoft Autheticator App was fully backed up.
Please could this be rectified asap. I had loads of 2FA accounts within this app which i need to obtain access too.

Same problem here. Initially I was getting the "something went wrong" error, now it says there is not a backup stored for my account.
