If you're not able connect using Ethernet or Wifi for a long period of time you can on a short term basis move the laptop to an area that has Ethernet or Wifi.
Then while while sleeping the HP Support Assistant can be installed or updated.
Then it can identify the best drivers and BIOS and download many while you're sleeping.

Alternatively you can manually download drivers to a computer or flash drive and then move them to the applicable computer.
