I cannot access my cerifications because my email is .edu

Hello,

I earned a Microsoft Excel Expert certification about a year ago. It was part of a class I was taking in college so my log in information are all with my .edu email. I have the ID number of the certification but I cannot access it through the dashboard. Everytime I click on "View Certificates", it takes my back to the sign in page and when I put the same log in email I used to sign in to the dashboard, it says "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different account or get a new one." But my certification was earned through this account with this specific email! What am I missing here and how can I view and download my certification?
