Clear cache policy in internet explorer

I have applied gpo to clear browsing history in internet explorer and i can see changes in registry as well however when i am visiting sites like gmail etc after closing browser it doesnt prompt me to re enter password

Any idea if the policies/templates still work for internet explorer

Thank you for your question and reaching out.
I can understand you are having some issues related to clearing IE password using GPO.

On the Group Policy Management Editor, go to User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Microsoft Edge.
Set the following policies:
Disable the policy Enable AutoFill for addresses.
Disable the policy Enable AutoFill for credit cards.
Under "Password manager and protection," disable the policy Enable saving passwords to the password manager.
Optionally, you can enable the policy Disable synchronization of data using Microsoft sync services.

You can also using Logon script to clear password using command : vaultcmd /deletecreds

For edge it works fine but the issue is only with internet explorer
