Microsoft ACT (Application Compatibility Toolkit) Refuses to Work

I was told to come here to seek help, so I've been trying to make ACT work since some older games I have installed require some fixes to work, but it literally refuses to. I'm not sure what is causing the problem, but whenever I try to save my own database it throws at me this error: "There was a problem in executing the compiler. The database could not be created successfully, the database might be write-protected.", or my own application fixes which work when I test them after checking the needed fixes but when I save and install it doesn't work anymore, which means it probably did not install. It's driving me insane and back in Windows 7, I used to use ACT 5.6 which I had zero issues with but can't get that working on W10. Please if you know what's going on that will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,

The error message seems like an account privileges issue.Data Control Language(DCL) is used to control privileges in Database. To perform any operation in the database, such as for creating tables, sequences or views, a user needs privileges.

If you are an enterprise customers you can try using the Microsoft analytics. They have replaced the majority of functionality included in the Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) with Windows Analytics.
