MAM without enrollment on Android devices

I want to setup a MAM without enrollment for Android devices.
Do I need to make any changes in Mobility(MAM & MDM) in Azure for MAM ?

As far as I am aware, this setting is only for Windows and not for Android and iOS.
Is there any Microsoft article which explicitly states that this option is not for Android and iOS.

Correct, this is an Azure AD configuration to dictate MAM usage on Windows devices. The tooltip for this item calls out Windows explicitly. We rarely document what something doesn't do as that is an infinite list of possibilities. The documentation at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/app-protection-policies-configure-windows-10?msclkid=bb5db708d08211ec826dd0164e848e1c also reflects the info in the tooltip for this configuration.
