I am using Micorsoft Teams version 1.5.009159 (the latest as of today) on mac on Google Chrome.
Somehow suddenly I can't see the chat box anymore. I rebooted, checked the version, clear the cash...
Can some one tell me what I should do?

Thank you so much for your support. I just chatted with a Microsoft support centre engineer and he solved the problem! His name is Kehinde.
What we did was he created a link for me and I went in a Cognito browser and I was able to see the chat box next to the hand!
Thank YOU so much for trying to help me as well!! Much appreciated!
Hi @FumiHiraiInterpreter-0330,
By "Cannot see chat box", do you mean the Chat tab disappeared from the left pane?
Also noticed that you've mentioned Google Chrome as well, so the issue affects both your Teams desktop client and the Teams web client, right?
In case the "Chat" tab is unpinned from the left pane, please click the More added apps button( "···") and see if you are able to find the Chat app there. If it can be found there, you can click it to add it back and pin it on the pane:
Feel free to let me know if I have misunderstood anything.

Thank you for coming back to me!
Let me put my screen shot here.
I use Teams for a meeting and when I logged on a meeting, I used to see the chat box on the right side below or above the People the so that we can chat along a meeting. But somehow that chat box stopped appearing on my screen. I am not able to read or write on a chat box/thread to communicate with my colleagues while we are on a meeting. I checked the setting but can not find a chat box there either...
Check Internet connection - Done
Log out of Teams and restart your computer - Done
Use the Web version of Teams - Done I always use the web version on Google Chrome.
Run Disk Clean up - Done - Cleaned the cashe
Repair or Reset Microsoft Teams - I use Web version so not applicable??
Uninstall and Reinstall Teams - I reinstalled the Teams app on 20th April and current version os 1.00.509159

Hi @FumiHiraiInterpreter-0330,
Thanks for the clarification. So does this affect all meetings you attend?
And how about other participants in the same meeting, are they able to see the "Chat" box?
Yes it does affect all of my meetings and other people can see the chat box.
I am the only one who can not see...
One other thing that I changed is a "Office for mac" subscription from via Apple to a direct subscription from microsoft. Does it matter?

Great to know it works now and many thanks for the share!
By the way, since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that "The question author cannot accept their own answer. They can only accept answers by others.". and according to the scenario introduced here: Answering your own questions on Microsoft Q&A, I would make a brief summary of this thread:
[Microsoft Teams : Can not see chat box]
Issue Symptom:
"I use Teams for a meeting and when I logged on a meeting, I used to see the chat box on the right side below or above the People the so that we can chat along a meeting. But somehow that chat box stopped appearing on my screen. I am not able to read or write on a chat box/thread to communicate with my colleagues while we are on a meeting. Current status:
A link was created and you went in a incognito browser, from where you were able to see the chat box next to the hand.
You could click the "Accept Answer" button for this summary to close this thread, and this can make it easier for other community member's to see the useful information when reading this thread. Thanks for your understanding!
