B2C ROPC General Availablity?

When can we expect the B2C ROPC to be in General Availability mode? We are using user flows in B2C.

Hi @skhsjdksjdn-6642, ROPC is GA. May you be referring to client credentials support? For updates, you can subscribe to the following feed: https://docs.microsoft.com/api/search/rss?search=%22Release+notes+-+Azure+Active+Directory%22&locale=en-us.

Apologies, i assumed the protocol instead of the flow type.

No date has been made available but you can create a flow using Custom Policies. They require a little bit more effort but are more customizable. Tip: Standard user flows are custom policies underneath.

Before creating the ROPC custom policy, you need to:

  1. Add signing and encryption keys for Identity Experience Framework applications

  2. Register Identity Experience Framework applications

  3. Add LocalAccounts from the policy starter pack

  4. Bypass the social accounts (Facebook, etc) and create your ROPC custom policy

Let us know if you need additional assistance.

Thank you for the response. I tried to use the custom policies and IEF in the web app but ran into lot of authentication issues. It was not working properly and very little debug/log information was available. It was very hard to debug the problem. So, we are stuck with "UserFlows" for now. That works great with our web app and no issues. It would great if we can use ROPC and user flows in GA mode.

Hi again @skhsjdksjdn-6642, I encourage you to try one more time and share with us the issues you're facing. You can find here some ways to debug your policies. Alternatively I can draft and share a ROPC custom policy provided you detail your requirements and resources to leverage. I will send a private message for that.
