Microsoft Analysis Services - Current User Sessions

Hello everyone,

During a demo session of a Power BI dashboard we have recently created, the dashboard crashed.
The dashboard uses an Analysis Services model and is embedded in SharePoint.

We are currently using a S2 version of Analysis Services.

Approximately 100 users attended the sessions, and I guess, tried to connect to the dashboards in the same time.

When I look at the Analysis Services Metrics, I have a Current User Sessions that goes up to 2K current user sessions in average.

I wonder how it is possible because we "only have 100 people" attending the call?
Is it the reason why the dashboard crashed during the presentation?
What can be the cause of the crashing of AS?
We used to share an older version of the same dashboard to the same people and it never crashed.

Hello @FlorianFERRARIS-2098 and welcome to Microsoft Q&A. I'm sorry you had such an experience. Crashing during a meeting must have been mortifying. Meeting audio/visuals are hard enough.

Off the cuff, sounds like user sessions were not being properly terminated.
