Live migration works with Site Recovery

I have my Main Production Hyper V Host set up with Azure Site Recovery for critical VM's. (Server1 - Hyper V Server 2019 STD)
I have some unused servers locally, and I want to add another layer of protection where I do live migration to that Server 2 (Server 2022 STD) as well as Azure Site recovery.

I tried starting but I can't seem to add 2 replication points.

any guidance.

Hello @iKhanTT-0497 Thank you for your post and I apologize for the delayed response!

I understand your concern about performing Live migration from Server 2019 to Server 2022 to enable additional layer of protection.

Live migration on ASR enabled Hyper-V machines is supported. Live migration between two non-clustered Hyper-V hosts and between two clustered Hyper-V hosts is also supported. But the live migration between two VMs with different OSes may pose an issue.

I would recommend you to raise a support case so that we can help you better. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.

Hi @SadiqhAhmed-MSFT ,
Just checking, you are saying host server 1 (server 2019) live migration to host server 2 ( server 2022) is unsupported.

All VM's are Server 2016.

@iKhanTT-0497 Guest OS would not be a problem but we will be talking to Host OS. You mentioned it would be different 2019 and 2022 which might cause issues.
