I noticed that you are running a deployment planner for VMware and being greeted with errors as not being able to generate profile data.

Please confirm you have the following requirements on the machine running the report generation.
It is key to ensure Excel 2013 minimum is installed on this machine.

Report generation A Windows PC or Windows Server with Excel 2013 or later.
· .NET Framework 4.5
· Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012
· VMware vSphere PowerCLI 6.0 R3 is required only when you pass -User option in the report generation command to fetch the latest VM configuration information of the VMs. The Deployment Planner connects to vCenter server. Allow vCenter port (default 443) port to connect to vCenter server.If you meet these requirements, please locate the log file in the profiled data folder provided in the command ran.
In the example you shared, the logs will be located in:
C:\ASRDeploymentPlanner\ProfiledData

The log file will be named as:
CapacityPlanner_<datelogged>.txt

Here is the log details. A file called CapacityPlanner.xml is required for generating report but it isn't exist in the ProfiledData folder. It should appear after profiling progress. Do you have any idea about it?

Sample command:
ASRDeploymentPlanner.exe -Operation StartProfiling -Virtualization VMware -Directory “E:\vCenter1_ProfiledData” -Server vCenter1.contoso.com -VMListFile “E:\vCenter1_ProfiledData\ProfileVMList1.txt” -NoOfHoursToProfile 2 -User vCenterUser1

Please collect the logs from Directory input folder.
