A few months back I was able to collect from InPlace archives using /me/mailfolders/archivemsgfolderroot. However, this call seems to have stopped working and I get a ErrorInvalidMailboxItemId error. I was wondering if this api call was blocked? If so, are there alternative ways to collect InPlace archives from an exchange Office 365 account.
We have the same issue. There is a great issue for our business. We in https://4bis.nl have built a tool on top of Office365. Online archiving was the only way to store this amount of mailfolders.
Now we don't have solution for this impediment.
Please, advice us. In other case, there is no other solution for except moving away from Microsoft Office365.
@Tarun1418-6299 No, this API endpoint is not available and as per the documentation - Graph API does not support accessing in-place archive mailboxes, not on Exchange Online nor on Exchange Server. There is no other ways to achieve this, however, I am checking internally on the same ways to achieve this.
@SaurabhSharma-msft Any update on this? It's been 6 months with no access to In-Place Archive mailboxes from Graph. Is MAPI the only way that we can access In-Place Archive mailboxes programmatically?
Did you find any solution for this problem? It is really sad that perfectly working part of functionality is disabled with no reason with no solution or workaround.

I have not. I tried opening a ticket in our tenant regarding Graph access to In-Place Archive Mailboxes and Microsoft support closed it immediately saying they don't answer development questions in support tickets.
@SaurabhSharma-msft Out of curiosity, when you mention that you are checking for ways to do it internally do you mean that these ways, if there are any, cannot be consumed using the graph api?
@Tarun1418-6299 I meant if there is any other api endpoint available to get the archive folders. I have got confirmation that Archive folder endpoint doesn't work for exchange online or exchange server.
