Custom model apps security rols

I am having issues getting my custom security role setup so that the user can ONLY see the custom published app. We have D365 Sales Pro, and I do not want this set of users being able to access the entire sales hub, or sales team member apps. just my custom app. I downloaded and imported microsofts suggested minimum private apps roles but that did not work

    In the "Customization" tab, restrict users to only the custom app you want them to see. You can control this using "Custom App Privileges."
