Is it possible to use MS SQL 2019 on Windows Server 2022 Essentials?

WS22 Essentials is not listed between the supported OS, but the same situation was with MS SQL 2016 and OS Essentials support appeared afterwards.

    Hi @Jirka505 ,

Yes, Windows Server 2022 Essentials is not listed in supported OS. The Windows versions in supported list have been repeatedly tested by Microsoft. If you install SQL 2019 on Windows Server 2022 Essentials that is not in supported list, you may encounter many issues during SQL installation and using.

On the other hand: "With Windows Server 2022, the Essentials edition is available to purchase from OEMs only, however there is no specific installation media. Instead, an Essentials edition product key is used to activate the Standard edition of Windows Server 2022. You get all the same features." Isn't it possible not to be listed because it is considered a Standard Version?

Has anyone tried installing SQL on Essentials 2022 so far?
