MAUI is available in VIsual Studio 2022 Preview 17.3 Preview 1.1 or higher. Preview isn't a beta version of VS. It is the current version of VS with features that are in preview for the next release, including MAUI. You can run it and/or VS 2022 RTM on the same machine. As mentioned in this recent blog, MAUI will GA later in the year and at that point it'll probably integrate with RTM but until then it is in Preview. However I believe it is a fully supported version so you should be able to use it without any issues. If you do run into issues then report it on Github to the MAUI team.
